MVA Class of 2016

Thirty-seven Manhattan High School- Virtual Academy graduates participated in graduation ceremonies on Sunday, June 5th .  Graduation exercises were held in the Manhattan High School Auditorium beginning at 2:30p.m.

Brooke Blanck, Program Director, welcomed those who were in attendance.  She recognized Dr. Robert Shannon, Superintendent; Carol Adams, Executive Director of Teaching and Learning; and Leah Fliter and Pat Hudgins, School Board Members for Manhattan-Ogden USD 383.  Dr. Shannon delivered the keynote address as he explored the continuing changes in today’s world.

Tyler Tomlinson, Lawrence, and Timber Allenbrand, Paola, were introduced for their stellar academic distinction in the MVA Class of 2016.  Both Timber and Tyler delivered addresses to their classmates, families, and friends in attendance. 

The Class of 2016 was presented to Superintendent Dr. Robert Shannon and Manhattan-Ogden Board Members Leah Fliter and Pat Hudgins as they filed across the stage and received their diplomas from members of the MVA Faculty.  To close, Lyssa McKee, MVA Graduate with academic distinction, delivered the farewell to the class.
