STEM at it's BEST!

Every year MVA goes to K-State College of Engineering  in Manhattan, Kansas for a "STEM Event." Organized by Cindy Schultz, our amazing school counselor, the students get to meet and collaborate with actual K-State engineering students-- discussing important scientific processes, working through problem solving activities, and of course, eating some good food together.

Last year involved paper airplane flying and how to make a worthy bridge out of DOTS candy, while this year brought catapults, marshmallows, and of course, rockets into action. We cannot get through a day of STEM activities without rockets!

K-State collaboration has been an extremely successful part of MVA and the future of our students. Preparing them with hands on experiences and academic challenges is imperative to our staff and familes.
